Overall responsibilities
- To manage the ACFE pre-accredited program, upholding the requirements of the contract and providing a diverse range of short course programs relevant to the local community.
Key performance indicators
- Coordinate, plan, and implement the delivery of pre-accredited programs and short course activities.
- Development, implementation, and monitoring of the ACFE Delivery Plan and delivery of contracted hours.
- Ensure that ACFE program guidelines and contract requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities for the development of new programs which are relevant to local community needs.
- Recruitment and managing pre-accredited teachers (NHACE award tutors).
- Ensuring client satisfaction with the training being offered.
- Working within ACFE budgets.
- Liaison with ACFE and monitoring any sector updates.
- Keeping program details up to date on the Living and Learning Pakenham website.
- Identifying and attending relevant PD.
- Ensure VETtrak reporting requirements for SVTS reporting are in place.
- Participate in the development of organisational policies and procedure.
- Participate in monthly executive and ACFE meetings.
Key Measurables
- Term programs are developed and published in conjunction with and input from the management team.
- ACFE Delivery Plan is submitted by the due date and is updated where necessary according to changes in scheduling or addition or deletion of programs.
- Delivery of contracted scheduled contact hours is achieved.
- ACFE A-Frame documents are up to date for all pre-accredited programs.
- A schedule of review and moderation and validation of pre-accredited programs is set and adhered to.
- Evidence of discussion or development of new programs, or reviewing of current programs.
- Current signed contracts on file for all teachers (NHACE award tutors) and position descriptions.
- Evidence collected through surveys of high levels of satisfaction from clients.
- Evidence of attendance of PD.
- Reporting to the CEO and contributing to the narrative for the annual report.
Specialist Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the VET sector with special focus on ACFE (Pre-Accredited) and Learn Local.
- Knowledge of PQF and Stronger by Design session plans and programs.
- Knowledge of the “A-Frame” and relevant documentation requirements
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Initiative-taking and able to take ownership of the pre-accredited programs.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expertise in planning, problem solving, evaluating and coordination.
- Excellent computer skills with the Microsoft Office Suite of software.
Occupational Health and Safety
- Create, always maintain, and foster a safe work environment.
- Ensure other staff and students follow safe work practices, procedures and instructions.
- Be familiar with the biannual evacuation procedure and process.
- Report any accident/ incident to your line Manager.
Risk Management
- Be familiar with the Living Learning Pakenham Risk Management Policy.
- Report any incidents that pose a risk to students’ staff or visitors to the centre.
- Report any damage to property to the Administration Manager.
- Be familiar with Living Learning Pakenham’s employment handbook.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Qualification in Business or Management, or other relevant qualification
- Experience working within the Learn Local sector
