Stakeholder Engagement & Community Builder - Remote / Work from Home

Latitude Network

What if data and community could genuinely transform how Australia's social sector serves people? Latitude Network is building sharing communities that empower social service organisations and schools to learn from each other, advocate more powerfully, and improve outcomes for the people they serve — using modern data collaboration technology. We're looking for a warm, persuasive relationship-builder to bring sector leaders and school principals into our programs, and help those communities thrive once they're in. If you want flexible work that fits around your life while doing something that genuinely matters, this could be the role for you.

The Mission Behind the Role

Social service organisations and schools are doing vital work under enormous pressure. They're often under-resourced, working in silos, and lacking the evidence they need to advocate for systemic change. Latitude Network's answer is to build sharing communities where organisations can come together — not just to share data, but to share knowledge, challenge, and build collective capacity.

This role exists to grow those communities. You'll be reaching out to school principals, executive directors, and sector leaders — inviting them into programs that can genuinely change how their organisation understands its own work and advocates for the people it serves. Once organisations are in, you'll help the community come alive: keeping people connected, sharing, and learning from each other.

It's relationship work at the frontier of social sector innovation.

What You'll Do

Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct warm outreach to social service organisations, schools, and sector bodies from a curated target list — including 100+ schools currently in the pipeline — inviting them to join active or emerging data collaborations and Communities of Practice
  • Speak the language of school principals, executive directors, and frontline service managers, articulating the value of data collaboration and community in plain, compelling terms
  • Set up introductory meetings and follow up on expressions of interest through to sign-up
  • Prepare and refine persuasive communications materials — emails, one-pagers, and pitch content tailored to different audiences

Community Management and Facilitation

  • Moderate and facilitate our online Communities of Practice, keeping members active, engaged, and learning from each other
  • Plan and coordinate community events, webinars, and learning sessions using online tools
  • Foster connections between members, surface shared questions, and help the community grow its collective knowledge

Communications and Thought Leadership

  • Support Latitude Network's external communications — helping tell compelling stories about our work and its impact
  • Contribute to social media, newsletters, and sector publications to promote our thought leadership to social organisations
  • Over time, support the Founder's writing and public engagement, helping position Latitude Network as a trusted voice on data, innovation, and best practice in the Australian social sector

About You

You're a warm, persuasive communicator who genuinely cares about the social sector. You know how to build relationships quickly, listen well, and move people from interested to committed.

You might come from a background in stakeholder engagement, community development, or sector liaison roles; fundraising or development in the non-profit sector; marketing, communications, or PR with a social sector or education focus; or education or social services — with networks or experience working around schools or community organisation senior leaders.

You bring:

  • Confidence in outreach — you enjoy reaching out and making the first connection
  • Strong written communication skills and an eye for clear, persuasive messaging
  • The ability to speak credibly with school principals, social service executives, and community leaders
  • Experience or comfort with online community and meeting tools
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own time in a flexible, work-from-home environment
  • A genuine passion for social impact and the mission of helping the sector do more for people

You don't need to be a data expert — we'll give you everything you need to speak about the work clearly and confidently.

About Us

Latitude Network is a mission-driven social enterprise with an ambitious goal: to make Australia's social sector more effective through data collaboration and community. We believe that when organisations share data and knowledge, the whole sector becomes smarter — and the people those organisations serve get better outcomes.

We build and run data collaborations and Communities of Practice that bring social service organisations together to securely pool their data. The result: sector-wide insights for benchmarking, advocacy, and service improvement that no single organisation could unlock on its own. We use modern technology to make this work — and our approach has been recognised with the SIMNA Award for Outstanding Collaboration.

We work across a range of social sectors including the alcohol and other drugs sector, the flexible schools sector, homelssness, child protection, youth justice and others. We're a small, innovative team with deep expertise in the sector and technology, and big ambitions for where this work can go.
