Remote / Work from Home
What if data and community could genuinely transform how Australia's social sector serves people? Latitude Network is building sharing communities that empower social service organisations and schools to learn from each other, advocate more powerfully, and improve outcomes for the people they serve — using modern data collaboration technology. We're looking for a warm, persuasive relationship-builder to bring sector leaders and school principals into our programs, and help those communities thrive once they're in. If you want flexible work that fits around your life while doing something that genuinely matters, this could be the role for you.
Social service organisations and schools are doing vital work under enormous pressure. They're often under-resourced, working in silos, and lacking the evidence they need to advocate for systemic change. Latitude Network's answer is to build sharing communities where organisations can come together — not just to share data, but to share knowledge, challenge, and build collective capacity.
This role exists to grow those communities. You'll be reaching out to school principals, executive directors, and sector leaders — inviting them into programs that can genuinely change how their organisation understands its own work and advocates for the people it serves. Once organisations are in, you'll help the community come alive: keeping people connected, sharing, and learning from each other.
It's relationship work at the frontier of social sector innovation.
Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement
Community Management and Facilitation
Communications and Thought Leadership
You're a warm, persuasive communicator who genuinely cares about the social sector. You know how to build relationships quickly, listen well, and move people from interested to committed.
You might come from a background in stakeholder engagement, community development, or sector liaison roles; fundraising or development in the non-profit sector; marketing, communications, or PR with a social sector or education focus; or education or social services — with networks or experience working around schools or community organisation senior leaders.
You don't need to be a data expert — we'll give you everything you need to speak about the work clearly and confidently.
Latitude Network is a mission-driven social enterprise with an ambitious goal: to make Australia's social sector more effective through data collaboration and community. We believe that when organisations share data and knowledge, the whole sector becomes smarter — and the people those organisations serve get better outcomes.
We build and run data collaborations and Communities of Practice that bring social service organisations together to securely pool their data. The result: sector-wide insights for benchmarking, advocacy, and service improvement that no single organisation could unlock on its own. We use modern technology to make this work — and our approach has been recognised with the SIMNA Award for Outstanding Collaboration.
We work across a range of social sectors including the alcohol and other drugs sector, the flexible schools sector, homelssness, child protection, youth justice and others. We're a small, innovative team with deep expertise in the sector and technology, and big ambitions for where this work can go.
Contract: Flexible, starting at approximately one day per week (10 hours), with genuine scope to grow as our communities expand.
Hours: Fully flexible — you manage your own schedule. This role is well-suited to someone who needs to work around other commitments, including caring responsibilities.
Location: Work from home, ideally with 1 or 2 in-person meetings in Melbourne each month. We will consider Australian-based applications from outside of Melbourne though.
Remuneration: Hourly rate negotiated based on experience, but likely equivalent to a full-time salary of approximately $75,000–$90,000 per annum, plus performance bonus.
