Landcare NSW (LNSW) is the peak representative body for the community Landcare movement in NSW. The Landcare movement is a community based approach to managing and protecting our natural resources, restoring our environment and improving the sustainability of our agricultural practices. With 60,000 Landcarers and 3,000 groups, the organisation is overseen by an Executive Committee and a team of dedicated staff. After a period of growth, the Executive Committee now seek a CEO to manage the service provision and financial affairs of Landcare NSW, ensuring compliance with all legislative, risk-management, contractual and commercial requirements; as well as managing team building and ensuring that the day to day operations of Landcare are completed efficiently, safely and effectively. The CEO and the team support and manage major events of LNSW including supporting the regular Executive and Council Meetings and the biennial Landcare NSW Muster. The CEO and the staff are instrumental in assisting Landcare NSW achieve its corporate objectives.

Sought is an experienced business leader with a background in developing and managing not for profit, grass roots organisations, especially those with decentralised operations. You will be degree qualified, with a minimum of 10 years senior management experience, a track record of effectively leading a performance and outcomes-based organisation and staff, including experience in developing operational strategies that will allow Landcare NSW to meet its stakeholder objectives.

You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills that will allow you to communicate with all stakeholders from business, government and community. You will complement this with your own passion, and values and beliefs, which will inspire and motivate an equally passionate base of volunteers around the state in achieving Landcare’s mission.
