Skills & Experience

• CPA or CA qualification or working towards
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting or consolidation.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance and statutory reporting
• Experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
• Advanced Excel capability
• A positive, collaborative, proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience working with Indigenous organisations, not-for-profits, or community-focused programs is highly valued, though not essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in supporting the financial strength and sustainability of our KRED finance team by:

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports and statements

• Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable process to streamline financial operations.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Monitoring financial performance and identifying risks and opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and funding requirements
• Improving systems, controls, and financial processes
• Partnering with managers to provide financial guidance
• Managing audits and reporting obligations
