Skills & Experience
- CPA or CA qualification or working towards
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
- 3–5+ years experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting or consolidation.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance and statutory reporting
- Experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
- Advanced Excel capability
- A positive, collaborative, proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working with Indigenous organisations, not-for-profits, or community-focused programs is highly valued, though not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a key role in supporting the financial strength and sustainability of our KRED finance team by:
- Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports and statements
- Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable process to streamline financial operations.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Monitoring financial performance and identifying risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and funding requirements
- Improving systems, controls, and financial processes
- Partnering with managers to provide financial guidance
- Managing audits and reporting obligations
