Kids+ is entering an exciting new chapter.

Following the integration of the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC) into Kids+, we are building a stronger, more capable organisation to support people and families requiring specialist support for complex physical needs.

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven People & Culture Manager to play a key leadership role in shaping our culture, supporting our people, and embedding a high-performing, inclusive workplace.

Kids+ is a not-for-profit organisation delivering specialist allied health services, training, and programs. Our team of 55+ team members work across two sites in Geelong and Melbourne, united by a shared commitment to supporting people to live well, participate fully, and achieve outcomes that matter.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on leadership role spanning both strategic and operational people functions.

A key priority will be supporting the integration of CPEC into Kids+, ensuring alignment of people, systems, and culture—while maintaining strong engagement and continuity for team members.

You will work closely with the Executive Team, helping shape a contemporary, people-first organisation.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Partner with the CEO and Executive to deliver a people-first strategy
  • Lead workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning
  • Shape and embed a compelling employee value proposition
  • Support organisational integration and change initiatives

People Operations:

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and HR systems
  • Provide expert advice on ER/IR, performance, and complex matters
  • Maintain compliant policies aligned with legislation and awards
  • Lead performance and professional development frameworks

Culture & Engagement:

  • Drive initiatives that build a unified, engaged team
  • Lead communication, feedback, and recognition programs
  • Support leaders to foster a positive, inclusive culture

Safety & Wellbeing:

  • Oversee workplace health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Promote a proactive, psychologically safe work environment

Governance:

  • Act as Secretary to the Board
  • Support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement processes

About you

You are an experienced and pragmatic People & Culture leader who enjoys working in a purpose-driven, growing organisation.

You will bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in HR / People & Culture leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, ER/IR, and WHS
  • Experience in organisational change or integration (highly regarded)
  • A collaborative, influential style with the ability to build trust
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
