Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) delivers hands-on philanthropic learning programs for young people, building their understanding of social issues and their capacity to take real action. Students explore local causes, connect with charities, and prepare essential goods like meals, care packs, hygiene products and clothing for people in need in their community.
We're a small, close-knit team, passionate about what we do and about supporting each other. We work across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and we're growing our presence in QLD.
As Teacher in Residence, you'll design and adapt KiP's programs for Queensland secondary schools, aligning content with relevant curriculum frameworks and year-level learning objectives. You'll provide consultation and training to QLD teachers so they can confidently deliver service learning and philanthropic education in their own classrooms, and you'll lead or co-facilitate program sessions in schools yourself.
You'll build genuine relationships with school leaders, coordinators and teachers, contribute to funder reporting and grant applications, and help grow KiP's presence across Queensland, with a particular focus on regional and low-SES communities.
Experience in project-based or service-learning programs, the QLD charitable sector, or low-SES and regional school settings will be highly regarded.
KiP is a child safe organisation.
