Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) is an Australian not-for-profit that supports young people experiencing disadvantage, particularly those facing poverty, food insecurity, and homelessness. We organise and run structured volunteering programs, primarily in schools, that empower young people to give back to their communities while building their own wellbeing, capabilities, and confidence. Through hands-on volunteering and giving experiences, KiP enables young people to create food relief and care kits that are distributed to people in need.
Since our founding, KiP has enabled over 12,000 young people to volunteer and fundraise, supporting more than 110,000 Australians through financial and in-kind assistance.
The KiP Board is seeking one Director (voluntary) and a number of advisers who can bring expertise in school education to support KiP’s work. Applicants with the relevant skills and personal attributes and a desire to inspire the next generation of changemakers will be considered.
For the Board Director, Board meetings are held quarterly, and the general time commitment for this position in addition to Board meetings is approximately 1.5+ hours per week.
For advisers, the time commitment is flexible across a range of education initiatives and estimated to be 15+ a year.
