WHO WE ARE

At Karinya House, we believe in making a difference for women in our community and for generations to come. We are small, specialised and grass-roots organisation. Working from a social justice perspective, we are non-aligned and non-affiliated with any religion or political views and do not judge. We enable and support; and treat our team as we would the women we walk alongside, recognising the unique skills of each member of our close-knit team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support key administrative, financial and human resource processes at Karinya House, in collaboration with the Finance and Business Manager, and the members of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • With a strong attention to detail and a passion for effective management of operational processes, your flexible approach will respond to ever-evolving tasks across any given day.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Individuals including those of diverse backgrounds who are committed to giving back to their community, by improving outcomes for women who are pregnant and parenting.
  • Individuals with relevant skills, experience or qualifications supporting financial/bookkeeping and business and/or administrative processes.
  • Exposure to administrative tasks related to recruitment of staff and/or payroll processing is an advantage but not essential.
  • If you are someone who is organised, respectful, caring, and flexible, who is driven by impact, values and a desire to see change in your community – then Karinya House is the place for you.

  • An opportunity to negotiate a contract of between 64-70 hours per fortnight.
  • Ability to negotiate hours, within the span of 8am-5pm. Including paid lunch breaks when breaks are taken on-site.

  • Free-onsite parking.
