Our client is a prominent, purpose-led Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred housing solutions for people with disability. With a large national portfolio, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth driven by sector leadership, consolidation, and an innovative service model that places tenants at the centre of everything they do.

About the Role

This is a pivotal executive leadership position responsible for driving occupancy growth and tenant retention across a significant national portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the engagement function, working with partners to expand property services and build a robust pipeline of future tenants. While you will provide strategic oversight of operations, your focus will be outward-facing, building deep sector relationships to drive commercial and service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the national engagement strategy to drive portfolio growth, occupancy, and sector consolidation.
  • Developing high-value, strategic partnerships across the NDIS ecosystem, including SIL providers, advocates, and government bodies.
  • Providing executive oversight for the Tenant Experience team, ensuring a seamless, dignified, and person-centred tenant journey.
  • Championing a data-led approach to monitor pipeline health, referral source performance, and tenancy outcomes.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Team on business development, strategic planning, and service innovation.

About You

You are a strategic, commercially astute leader with a passion for driving housing outcomes for people with disability. To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:

  1. Deep Sector Expertise: Demonstrated senior leadership experience in the disability sector, with a comprehensive and current understanding of the NDIS and SDA frameworks.
  2. Relationship Excellence: Established and credible relationships across the disability sector that can be immediately leveraged to drive portfolio growth and partnerships.
  3. Business Development Acumen: A proven track record in lead generation, sales, or growth strategy within a human services or NDIS context.
  4. Operational Leadership: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a national or multi-site environment with a coaching and outcomes-focused approach.
  5. Strategic Thinking: The ability to balance commercial priorities (KPIs, vacancy rates, growth) with a genuine commitment to tenant outcomes and person-centred care.

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Nursing, Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field. You will also hold a current Working with Children Check, a valid Driver’s Licence, and are required to undergo a police check. You will hold full-time permanent working rights in Australia.

The Offer

On offer is a salary of $230K (plus super), and attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging benefits are also available. Hybrid and flexible work options from either Melbourne or Sydney are also available.
