The ACT Victims of Crime Commissioner (VOCC) is seeking an outstanding leader to manage the ACT Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS).
The Director of the FAS will lead and manage a team of assessors and administrative staff to ensure the provision of high quality and timely assessment of applications for financial assistance which are made under the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance) Act 2016 and Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance) Regulation 2016.
The Director of the FAS will work innovatively with colleagues across VSACT to implement welcome recommendations from the ACT Government’s 2021 ‘Projects Assisting Victims’ Experience and Recovery (PAVER) Review’ of frontline VS ACT services; provide advice and guidance about legislative reform that will improve the efficiency of the scheme and work closely with the ICT Project Manager to implement system improvements.
