  • Part time at 0.8 FTE, 22.5 hours per week or full time, 38 hours per week.
  • SCHADS Award Level 6.1 salary.
  • You must be available to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can choose the other days you will work.
  • You can choose your working hours between 7.30am and 6pm your local time.

Purpose of this role

Your role as Project Coordinator – Employment makes sure Inclusion Australia’s employment-related projects run smoothly from start to finish. You will plan and deliver project activities that promote inclusion and positive change for people with an intellectual disability and their families.

You will be working across the project lifestyle, from design and set-up to stakeholder engagement, delivery, reporting, and evaluation.

What you will do

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate the high-quality delivery of multiple employment projects
  • Organise and run meetings, workshops, and other engagement activities
  • Use ClickUp, our project management software
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Projects Team
  • Monitor project risks and escalate issues.

Reporting and Quality:

  • Contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks
  • Prepare progress reports and contribute to project reporting
  • Create clear and accessible reports, presentations, and other materials for various audiences
  • Work with the Communications Team to maintain quality standards for project resources and materials
  • Work with the Policy and Advocacy Team to share project findings that support IA’s advocacy work.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across IA and with IA members, project partners, people with an intellectual disability and their families, and other sector stakeholders
  • Provide proactive communication
  • Support people with an intellectual disability to take part in IA’s project work
  • Represent IA professionally.

Who we’re looking for

You have worked:

  • For 3+ years in project coordination or community engagement, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Experience with supported employment, codesign, and in the disability sector would be an advantage

Ideally, you have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and project management software tools.

Ideally, you can:

  • Work independently and in a team
  • Work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including people with an intellectual disability
  • Adapt your communication and engagement style to suit different audiences
  • Make sound decisions under pressure and mange competing priorities

Ideally, you are:

  • Organised and proactive
  • Skilled at time management
  • Proficient with project management tools
  • Works with a high level of integrity and ethical standards

You are interested in:

  • Human rights, social justice, and inclusion
  • Being involved in meaningful work that makes a difference
  • Actively being part of a passionate and diverse team who work remotely across Australia
  • Sharing your knowledge generously and recognising the value in learning from others.

You may also have personal or close experience in working with people with an intellectual disability.

You must hold or be willing to complete a(n):

  • Police Record Check
  • Current employment Working with Children Check (or equivalent in your state or territory)
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s Worker Orientation Module

It would be an advantage (but it is not essential) if you have a university or TAFE qualification in project management or a related field.
