Impact you will have in this role

Access Industries is seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive a critical period of revenue stabilisation, growth and transformation across the organisation. This role will play a pivotal part in strengthening commercial capability, building a more strategic and scalable sales function and creating the foundations for sustainable long-term growth.

As General Manager – Sales and Customer Success, you will drive revenue growth while establishing a more structured and consistent approach to customer engagement. By strengthening market positioning, diversifying the customer base and implementing company-wide customer success practices, you will build stronger customer relationships and a more resilient commercial model.

You will transform a decentralised sales approach into an integrated, customer-focused function, creating the systems, structures and governance that deliver a coordinated customer experience across every stage of the customer journey. From new business acquisition through to strategic account management and customer success, you will ensure customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead strategic transformation initiatives, including sales capability uplift, CRM and ERP implementation and the Newcastle site transition. Your leadership will help strengthen the organisation's commercial performance while creating greater employment opportunities for people living with disability.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of Access Industries' sales function, building the structure, processes and commercial discipline required to support sustainable growth.
  • Drive new business development, proactively identifying and securing opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to stabilise revenue, diversify revenue streams and reduce reliance on individual customers, products or channels.
  • Lead the organisation's customer success strategy, creating a structured and consistent approach to customer engagement that strengthens relationships, builds trust and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
  • Establish a company-wide customer success and strategic account management framework, ensuring consistent customer engagement, clear ownership of key relationships and improved customer retention.
  • Design and oversee the end-to-end customer experience, improving customer journeys across acquisition, onboarding, service delivery and ongoing account management to create a coordinated and seamless customer experience.
  • Develop company-wide customer engagement frameworks, service standards and governance that create consistency across all customer touchpoints and deliver a coordinated customer experience.
  • Bridge the gap between sales and operations, building trust, alignment and a shared focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Partner closely with operational teams to align sales commitments with production capability, ensuring growth plans are both commercially ambitious and operationally achievable.
  • Lead the implementation of CRM and ERP systems, driving the adoption of data, reporting and digital tools to support commercial decision-making and improved customer outcomes.
  • Lead strategic market planning activities, including competitor analysis, market prioritisation, product and channel strategy, customer insights and brand positioning.
  • Provide experienced leadership and drive significant change across the business, ensuring strategic initiatives are translated into practical outcomes that strengthen commercial performance and support future growth.

About you

You're a strategic and hands-on sales leader who excels at establishing strong commercial foundations, driving growth and leading meaningful organisational change in complex and evolving environments.

You will also have:

  • Proven experience leading and delivering sales transformation within a complex B2B environment, with the ability to build commercial capability, processes and structure from the ground up.
  • Proven experience building or transforming a sales function within a complex or evolving environment, creating structure, systems and accountability from a decentralised or underdeveloped starting point.
  • Demonstrated capability of winning new business, opening new markets and developing sustainable revenue growth through strategic customer acquisition.
  • Proven experience establishing structured customer engagement or customer success frameworks that improve customer experience, retention and long-term commercial relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change, with the credibility and resilience to guide teams through periods of transformation and uncertainty.
  • Experience operating in complex B2B sales environments, with knowledge of manufacturing, FMCG, TGA-regulated industries, or similarly regulated sectors highly regarded.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience in strategic marketing, market analysis, competitor positioning, customer insights and brand strategy.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a hands-on approach to building trusted customer relationships and the ability to work collaboratively across sales, operations and leadership teams.
  • A reputation for integrity, sound judgement and ethical leadership, combined with a commitment to inclusion, accountability and purpose-driven outcomes.
