Hello Sunday Morning is an innovative digital health organisation pioneering a new approach to help people change their relationship with alcohol. Our Daybreak App offers clients professional, data-enabled, human health coaching, robust peer support, an engaging and interactive health curriculum, and smart technology to monitor and enhance their progress.

Our Mid-level Developer will build up experience with different edge cases and learn how to employ their technical skills to deliver value to help people change their relationship with alcohol.

You’ll learn how to make compromises, how your work affects other engineers and how your work fits into the overall development process, all while working for a purpose!

About the role

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining features throughout the member-side of our applications & products set by our strategic plan, the operational business plans and Digital Health Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, secure and high performing member-side applications
• Provide technical support to our members and other business units within the organisation
• Uphold quality standards including reliability, efficiency, security, maintainability and usability by applying best practice processes, methodologies and tools
• Integrate approved frameworks and technologies to improve existing services and to help fulfil business needs
• Perform code reviews and testing

About You

• 4+ years’ experience using ReactNative to develop and publish mobile applications to iOS and Android platforms.
• 2+ years’ experience building native iOS and Android mobile applications
• Strong understanding of HTML React and JavaScript
• Experience integrating with Google and Play store payments & subscriptions.
• Expertise in integrating backend APIs and services with mobile applications.
• 2+ years' experience in building backend APIsProven experience building front end libraries and frameworks
• Extensive experience with front end development in the context of JavaScript ecosystem
• Always writes tests and knows how to write testable code
• Comfortable with version control, such as GIT
• Ability to debug problems unassisted in most situations
• Understanding of software development and design principles, coding standards and container environments such as Docker and microservice
