About the role:

Bunbury PCYC has been an integral part of the South-West community. Perfectly situated in the heart of the town’s Hay Park sporting precinct, with extensive access to recreational grounds, the Centre is the ideal setting for children and young people to engage in a range of enriching activities within both Youth and Recreation!

This is a full-time opportunity, overseeing PCYC's recreational activities and youth programs and vital for building relationships in the local community, driving a business and leading a team. As a centre manager, your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leading the vision and balanced delivery of the centre operations, including recreational and youth to engage all children and young people in the community.
  • Developing collaborative partnerships within the community to provide activities and programs that align with the PCYC mission and best meet the needs of the local community
  • ensure quality community engagement, staff leadership and training.
  • Provide a safe environment for the children and young people to the community.
  • Ensuring the successful performance of Centre operations, including the financial budget and performance, staff management, compliance, facilities, administration and reporting.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Sports Management, Youth Services, Community Development or another related (highly regarded).
  • Proven experience in operational planning, financial management and/or implementing innovative ideas to drive recreational income.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills establishing valuable partnerships within the local community.
  • Experienced in financial management, business plans and budgets.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Effective leadership skills who can drive vision, inspire, and lead a team.
  • Genuine care for your community and alignment to the PCYC Mission and Values.
  • Ability to obtain compliant Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
