The Role:

The Fundraising Specialist reports to the Head of Individual Giving and Donor Development, supporting the growth of fundraising income and donor engagement for HRI through the successful delivery of the regular and single giving programs, regular appeals including the annual Tax and Christmas Appeals, and lotteries programs.

This is a broad, hands-on role which will see you coordinating fundraising activities and donor stewardship related to HRI’s key revenue programs, while working with your colleagues to deliver compelling campaigns to build a strong pipeline for regular gifts to HRI.

HRI is centrally located in vibrant Newtown, close to public transport, cafes and restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and deliver individual giving campaigns.
  • Coordinate donor acquisition programs with external partner agencies.
  • Coordinate fundraising campaigns including digital, print, EDM and social media materials in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and supporters to continue engagement and improve retention.
  • Coordinate donor stewardship activities including acknowledgements, receipting and impact reporting.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising campaign performance, donor engagement and fundraising outcomes.
  • Represent HRI at networking and stakeholder events alongside your colleagues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in fundraising, donor engagement or philanthropy within the not-for-profit sector, as well as experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship initiatives or community fundraising activities.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational, time and project management skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively across fundraising and marketing and communications to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Experience using CRM/database systems and maintaining accurate donor records with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to effectively interpret fundraising and campaign performance data.
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with a genuine passion for healthcare philanthropy and community impact.
