About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic support to children impacted by family violence
• Provide developmentally appropriate interventions tailored to individual emotional, safety and wellbeing needs 
• Manage a caseload of children, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to achieve positive outcomes 
• Undertake risk assessments and safety planning in line with the MARAM framework 
• Deliver services across multiple sites (primarily Frankston, with travel to Sandringham and Hastings as required) 
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and actively participate in supervision, meetings and ongoing professional development

About you

• Postgraduate qualification in Counselling, or registration as a Psychologist, with eligibility for relevant professional membership
• Demonstrated experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children impacted by trauma and family violence
• Strong working knowledge of the MARAM framework and family violence risk assessment and management practices
• Ability to apply child development, trauma and attachment theories in therapeutic practice
• Experience working with diverse client presentations, with a commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and intersectional practice
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
