Golden Plains Shire Council (GPSC) is seeking a dynamic Coordinator Health and Wellbeing to undertake the planning and delivery of coordinated and integrated health and wellbeing initiatives as a leader of the Health and Wellbeing team.
Situated between Victoria’s two largest regional cities, Geelong and Ballarat, Golden Plains Shire’s Civic Centre in Bannockburn is only a 70 minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD.
With a population of 23,722 people and growth rate of 2.6% per annum, Golden Plains Shire is one of Victoria fastest-growing rural councils.
GPSC is uniquely placed as the only Local Government to receive Integrated Health Promotion Funding from the Department of Health and Human Services to conduct an ongoing health and wellbeing program tailored to the local needs and circumstances of its community.
The Coordinator Health and Wellbeing will lead, support and guide Council’s Health and Wellbeing team and drive the development, implementation and evaluation of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025. With experience in evidence-based strategic health planning and policy development, you will utilise strong data analysis, communication, facilitation and engagement skills to build partnerships and programs that deliver on health and wellbeing priorities.
