About the Role
Passionate about Geelong’s LGBTIQA+ community and the arts? Geelong Pride Film Festival is looking for a Volunteer Treasurer to join our friendly committee and oversee our financial health.
You won't be doing it alone - you'll have the full support of our collaborative team. This is a rewarding role where your financial skills will make a genuine impact, ensuring our festival remains financially sustainable while supporting Geelong’s LGBTIQA+ community and arts sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Track budgets, income, and expenses using Xero.
- Governance & Reporting: Present brief updates at monthly meetings and assist with annual AGM reporting.
- Grants & Acquittals: Assist with budget forecasting for grant applications and acquittals.
- Festival Operations: Manage payments during festival peak periods (e.g., film licensing, venue hire).
What We’re Looking For
- Financial Literacy: Comfortable with spreadsheets, bookkeeping, or Xero.
- Reliability: Strong organisation skills and commitment to meeting key deadlines.
- Passion for Community: Alignment with GPFF’s mission and Geelong's LGBTQIA+ community.
Time Commitment
- Monthly Committee Meetings: ~1 hour per month.
- Off-Peak Season: Minimal ongoing tasks (<1 hour/month).
- Festival Season (~4 months total): ~2 hours/week leading up to and immediately following the festival.
