Fremantle Women's Health Centre (FWHC) has been providing high-quality, accessible healthcare for women for more than 35 years. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career in a collaborative women's health service where you can practise to your full scope while working alongside experienced General Practitioners, nurses, counsellors, social workers and allied health professionals.

Based primarily at our modern consulting centre in Willagee, the role may be expected to deliver Nurse Practitioner services at approved outreach locations operated in partnership with community organisations within the South Metropolitan region of Perth. Outreach clinics will ordinarily occur during normal business hours and will be conducted only from approved clinical premises in accordance with FWHC's clinical governance, safety and quality standards.

About the Role

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for women across the lifespan. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver evidence-based primary healthcare, with a strong focus on prevention, education and continuity of care.

You will consult with women presenting with women’s health concerns, including:

  • Prescribing and management of medications within your scope of practice
  • Sexual and reproductive health
  • Menstrual disorders
  • Contraception and family planning
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Cervical screening and preventive health
  • Breast health assessment
  • Sexual health screening and management
  • Chronic disease screening.
  • Healthy ageing and lifestyle medicine
  • Health promotion and education
  • Potentially also women's mental health assessment and support (subject to training and clinical psychology capacity).

About You

You are a compassionate and highly skilled clinician who enjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and is committed to improving health outcomes for women.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience in primary healthcare and women's health
  • Advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic and prescribing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience in menopause management, sexual and reproductive health, cervical screening and community health will be highly regarded.

  • Permanent part-time or full-time employment on competitive salary commensurate with experience (hourly rate $68–$85/hr) plus 12% Super and salary packaging
  • Alternatively, FWHC is open to a contractor agreement based on 70/30% split-billing
