The Company:

Our client, a respected NDIS service provider and for-purpose organisation, provides individuals with disabilities and their families opportunities to access quality services, that eliminate barriers to community participation. Serving Central Victoria for over 40 years, they offer supported employee programs, ADE businesses, community access, respite living, and recreation activities.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer is a newly created position, working within the Senior Leadership Team. You will play an integral role in supporting the organisation in achieving its strategic growth and business targets, alongside managing Team Leaders and ADE staff.

Goals of the position:

  • Provide leadership, coordination, and support regarding all aspects of risk management, human resource management, client management, quality control improvement, financial management and OH&S.
  • Support days service programs and other disability services through research, innovation, and program innovation.
  • Work closely with the CEO to develop and maintain new and existing relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and their families.
  • Implement and execute strategic and operational business plans, while promoting a positive and supportive culture in which operations align with the values of the organisation.
  • Drive outcomes that have a client-first focus.

About You:

You must value the contributions made by all employees, encouraging personal and professional development at all business levels, while maintaining trusted and productive relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, in addition to.

  • Demonstrated sound financial and people management knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the willingness to have a hands-on approach to work.
  • Experience managing and implementing continuous quality improvement systems.
  • Development of leadership planning tools and successful implementation is highly desirable.

Please note this position will require the successful candidate to travel between Central Victorian sites on a weekly basis.

The successful candidate must be willing to obtain an Employment Working with Children Check, a NDIS Workers Screening Check (which includes a Police Check) and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
