• Permanent Full Time position
• SCHADS Level 6, base salary $90,439.44 - 94,436.16 plus leave loading, superannuation & salary packaging
• Lead a NEW team and be part of operational implementation of a new Support Disability Accommodation in Parkdale

About You

With a passion for coaching & development of others, you will be motivated by seeing others gain independence in their life. Proven experience of working with clients who demonstrate challenging behaviours as a result of mental health issues or cognitive disability will be matched by the following:

• Demonstrated ability to coach and lead a team
• A strong commitment to client-directed care
• Experience with dual disability or dual diagnosis support
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive outlook
• An understanding of the NDIS and its impact on outcomes for clients and existing models of service delivery
• Effective listening skills and adaptable communication style
• Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant qualification

It is a requirement of this position to acquire and maintain a positive Working With Children’s Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and possess a current & valid driver’s license.

About the Role

This role is responsible for leading high-quality practice for people we support in a new purpose-built accommodation. You will work in accordance with individual plans and ensure that we put the people we support at the centre of everything we do. You will be involved with the initial stages of this team providing 24/7 in-home support to our clients that transition into the therapeutic community space.

To achieve this, the role entails:

• Team leadership, ensuring staff maintain a focus on client directed needs to achieve client directed outcomes & service delivery objectives
• Promote a positive image of the clients and the aims of the therapeutic housing community
• Organise maintenance to the house and grounds and replacement of equipment as required.
• Day to day responsibility for the Operation of Parkdale Therapeutic Community Village
• Evidenced based best practices, incorporating innovation and creativity for an inclusive model of care
• Capacity to build and maintain strong relationship with SDA (Supported Disability Accommodation) housing provider
• Confirming accurate case notes are completed regularly by the team and that regular case reviews are conducted
• Ensure compliance with all internal & external requirements including reporting
