EON Aboriginal Foundation is an Aboriginal-led not-for-profit organisation working alongside remote Aboriginal communities to improve food security, nutrition and health through edible gardens and hands-on education programs.

We are looking for a Project Manager based in Katherine (or nearby) to deliver practical gardening, cooking and healthy eating programs with children and communities across the Big Rivers Region.

This is a hands-on and varied role working closely with schools, children and communities. You will:

  • Run practical gardening, cooking and nutrition lessons
  • Help children learn how to grow food and prepare healthy meals
  • Establish and maintain edible gardens
  • Build strong relationships with schools and community members
  • Work independently in remote settings

The role includes regular travel across the Big Rivers Region, generally up to 4 nights away per fortnight.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys practical, hands-on work
  • Works well with children
  • Wants to work alongside Aboriginal communities
  • Is adaptable, organised and self-motivated
  • Communicates well with people of all ages and backgrounds

Experience in gardening, cooking, community programs, education or youth work will be highly regarded.

Key Details

  • Full-time position
  • Fixed term to December 2026, with possible extension
  • $88,848 plus super
  • Salary packaging available
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • Travel allowance for nights away
