The therapeutic Case Manager will work as part of the EMHAWS Aboriginal Healing Unit (AHU) Team located in Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) supporting the implementation and delivery of our therapeutic, cultural and Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) programs and services to Aboriginal women and trans and gender diverse people currently in prison. The AHU program will deliver a range of integrated and targeted services to eligible Aboriginal people. These services take a holistic approach and work towards improving the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal women whilst in DPFC. The service will be delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of qualified and skilled practitioners who will deliver a range of holistic services including therapeutic counselling, intensive case management and group cultural activities. The Aboriginal Therapeutic Case Manager will provide case management, advocacy and support to eligible Aboriginal women as part of the AHU program, as well as conduct secondary consultations and co work with other Corrections Victoria staff and across the sector, to ensure positive outcomes for clients who are in DPFC.
