Position Purpose
The Program Coordinator – Outreach Program is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering outreach trips to regional and remote communities. This role ensures effective logistics, stakeholder engagement, team management, and compliance with reporting and safety standards to achieve program objectives and improve health outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach Program Management (~50%):
- Plan and execute outreach trips, including travel arrangements, staffing, and itineraries in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Liaise with schools and regional stakeholders; maintain strong relationships and attend stakeholder meetings.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion and develop MOUs/agreements as required.
- Monitor program outcomes using data; ensure benchmarks and reporting requirements are met.
- Manage outreach budgets and acquittals.
- Oversee team safety and driver behaviour via GPS tracking during trips.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
Stakeholder Management & Team Performance (~15%):
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional partners, schools, and community organisations.
- Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings and forums.
- Monitor and support team performance during outreach trips to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to protocols.
People Management (~15%):
- Manage, and support team members, students, and volunteers.
- Conduct performance management and identify learning and development opportunities.
Funding & Compliance (~10%):
- Complete grant acquittals and assist with tender preparation.
Organisational Contribution (~10%):
- Contribute to organisational strategy and leadership initiatives.
- Support leadership of office premises and operational improvements.
Essential Requirements
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
- Working with Children Check and current Police Clearance.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working with families and/or Aboriginal communities.
- Experience in training program delivery and facilitation.
- Previous team management experience.
- Background in community health service delivery or similar.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to manage data for reporting and compliance.
- Understanding of community health service delivery and cultural awareness when working with Aboriginal communities.
- Current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and Police Clearance.
