Dry July Foundation is seeking an experienced Company Secretary to support the governance and compliance functions of one of Australia’s most recognised cancer charities.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute your governance expertise to an organisation that has raised more than $100 million to improve the comfort, care and wellbeing of people affected by cancer across Australia. Dry July is recognised as a flagship peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, engaging tens of thousands of participants and donors every year.

About the Role

The Company Secretary will support the Board and executive team through governance oversight, board administration and compliance management.

As Company Secretary, you will:

  • Coordinate Board and committee meetings, agendas and board papers
  • Prepare meeting minutes and maintain governance records
  • Support compliance with ACNC and other regulatory obligations
  • Advise on governance best practice
  • Assist with policy reviews and governance documentation
  • Review partnership agreements, deeds and commercial arrangements
  • Maintain statutory registers and key corporate records

This is a voluntary position. Board meetings are primarily held online, with occasional Sydney-based meetings.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced governance professional with:

  • Experience as a Company Secretary, Governance Manager or similar governance role
  • Strong understanding of governance and compliance obligations
  • Experience supporting Boards or senior executive teams
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A collaborative and values-driven approach

Commitment

  • Supporting (typically monthly) board meetings, plus additional sessions as required
  • Regular engagement with the CEO and key stakeholders
  • Representation at selected events, partner meetings, and strategic discussions
