Disability Rights Advocacy Service Incorporated (DRAS) is part of the national network of Disability Advocacy Services funded by the Australian government. DRAS provides individual and systemic advocacy for people with disabilities, their families and their carers.

The DRC Advocate: is a role with DRAS and the position will be responsible to the CEO and will work under the direction of the DRC Advocacy Coordinator to assist people with disabilities, their families and carers to access and make submissions to the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.

Special Conditions: The position is offered on a part-time fixed term contract until the 30th June, 2020 with possible extension for a further 12 months. The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a DCSI Working with Vulnerable Persons and Working with Children screening prior to being employed. Applicants will also be required to hold current First Aid. Must hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence (equivalent to minimum class C South Australian), and have use of their own roadworthy car as required.

Remuneration: The position is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHCADS)
