The North Division Child Protection Program prides itself on its commitment to making children safe, supporting stronger families, and protecting future generations.

The dynamic and professional practitioners located within our Preston Child Protection Program service a diverse client base within one of Victoria's Growth Corridors.

An outstanding opportunity currently exists for highly a motivated individual join the Hume Moreland team in the capacity of Senior Child Protection Practitioner (Family Violence) – CPP5 Classification.

The Senior Child Protection Practitioner (Family Violence) supports the capacity of child protection practitioners to better respond to risk for children exposed to family violence. In particular the SCPP5 is responsible for supporting and developing Child Protection Practitioners in the integration of theory and practice whilst demonstrating their expertise through case practice and the supervision of child protection practitioners.

Pivotal to your success in this challenging yet fulfilling role, ideal candidates will possess:

  • Highly developed risk assessment skills in a family violence context
  • Superior understanding of child development, attachment and trauma theories in relation to child protection practice
  • Leadership acumen coupled with experience assuming a mentoring role
