Tapatjatjaka Art & Craft is Aboriginal owned and governed art centre in the small community of Titjikala, about 107 km south of Alice Springs at the northern edge of the Simson Desert. It is home to Eastern Arrernte, Pitjantjatjara, Luritja and Yankunytjatjara people. Tapatjatjaka Art & Craft was incorporated in 2008 and produces artworks across diverse mediums, such as paintings, wire sculptures, felted items, punu, batik, raffia and ceramics. The art centre participates in numerous regional events such as the annual Beanie Festival and Desert Mob Exhibition in Alice Springs, as well as holding regular markets. Tapatjatjaka Art & Craft is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic manager to oversee daily operations of the art centre and support our artists in fulfilling their artistic and career aspirations. The role involves a broad range of tasks, including financial management, managing art centre funding, supervision of staff, event and exhibition planning, sales and marketing, art development and programming, liaising with stakeholders and forming positive relationships within the Titjikala community.

This is a fabulous opportunity to work with an Aboriginal led organisation on the edge of the Simpson desert. You will be part of a small community of approx. 220 residents and will enjoy rich, expansive landscapes of rocky outcrops, gorges, dry riverbeds and clay pans, all within easy driving distance to Alice Springs.
The salary package comprises $75-85k per annum plus 10.5% superannuation. You will benefit from 6 weeks annual leave, as well as capped salary sacrificing. Time off in lieu (TOIL) is available, as is relocation assistance and housing.
