About the Role:

The Executive Manager, Corporate Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of key corporate functions, including ICT, Business Development, Marketing, Events, Administration, and Philanthropic Services. Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the role provides high-level advice and support to the Executive Team to ensure DCC’s strategic goals are achieved. The position leads and supports corporate teams to deliver services that are aligned, efficient, and contribute maximum value to community-facing operations. With a strong focus on leadership, governance, and resource management, the role plays a critical part in enhancing organisational performance, financial sustainability, and service excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to achieve strategic and operational goals across Corporate Services.

  • Provide strategic advice and reporting to the Deputy CEO on ICT, Business Development, Marketing, Administration, Events, and Philanthropy.

  • Lead thought leadership and stay informed on emerging trends to drive continuous improvement.

  • Conduct environmental scanning to identify risks, opportunities, and industry developments.

  • Oversee the development and execution of sustainable business development plans and initiatives.

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support organisational sustainability.

  • Identify new revenue opportunities and support funding and tender submissions.

  • Lead high-performing teams and foster a values-driven, collaborative, and accountable work culture.

  • Ensure delivery of timely, accurate reporting and compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations.

  • Oversee reliable, secure, and integrated ICT systems, including cybersecurity strategy and governance.

  • Align all corporate services with DCC’s strategic direction to maximise organisational impact.

  • Champion positive change, organisational efficiency, and the promotion of DCC’s core values.

About You:

You are a strategic and solutions-focused leader with deep expertise across corporate services functions. You bring a strong foundation in financial management, budgeting, and risk mitigation, paired with a clear understanding of governance and regulatory requirements in a not-for-profit context.

You are an effective communicator with advanced interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Your leadership style is inclusive and empowering, and you have a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating high-performing teams.

You excel at managing complex workloads and competing priorities, and you’re constantly looking for ways to improve systems, workflows, and outcomes. Your strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities support your capability to lead through complexity and change.

  • Strong financial and risk management capability

  • Deep understanding of corporate governance in the not-for-profit sector

  • Proven leadership and people management experience

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align corporate functions with broader organisational goals

  • In-depth knowledge of ICT, Marketing, Business Development, Events, and Philanthropic Services

You’re passionate about contributing to meaningful outcomes for the community and thrive in purpose-driven, values-based organisations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Operations, Human Services, Marketing or similar related fields.

  • 5+ years’ experience as either a Business Manager (or equivalent) within an NFP setting (desirable), or as an Executive with financial oversight of a diverse business.
  • LCS2/7

  • Blue card

  • National Police Check

  • Occasional travel may be required.
