  • Permanent, Part-time position (30.4 hours, working days are negotiable)

Join Darebin City Council in our newly created Project Support Officer – Equity and Wellbeing position. Support projects and initiatives that respond to the needs and aspirations of Darebin’s diverse communities and help improve community well-being outcomes.

About the role:

You will work across the areas of social justice, community well-being and community development.

The position gives you the chance to gain experience working on a diverse mix of projects and work with a range of Council departments and community stakeholders.

You will work collaboratively with staff across the Equity and Well-being Department to support the delivery of projects, events and initiatives that support Council’s equity, inclusion and well-being goals.

You will also provide support to key priority projects and initiatives that the support the needs and aspirations of Darebin’s diverse communities and help improve community well-being outcomes.

To be successful your skills and experience will include:

  • The capacity to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise one’s own work
  • Experience in project management, with projects relating to community-based projects preferred
  • Demonstrated high level customer focus and stakeholder management. capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to actively contribute to a team
