Dandenong Community and Learning Centre (DCLC for short) is a not-for-profit organisation servicing people who reside or work in the City of Greater Dandenong. Our aim is to develop and support inclusive and caring communities, which value cultural diversity and support individuals to experience a sense of belonging within the local community.

Our services target individuals and communities. They include:

  • Low cost educational programs, including English and computer literacy.
  • Skills development, leading to greater independence, social interaction and opportunities for income generation.
  • Reduce isolation of individuals and groups.
  • Encourage communities to develop solutions to issues affecting their lives.
  • Address social inequalities and increase life opportunities
  • Learning or increasing skills that include making items for home and toys in our Community Shed.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and community minded individual who wants to make a difference to the many communities we work with across the City of Greater Dandenong. To that end, we are looking for a community leader who wants to help DCLC thrive.

In our Program Manager (Community Programs) role, you will be responsible for ensuring the ACFE pre-accredited training programs are running efficiently and smoothly. You will ensure ASQA compliance and continuous improvement.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Education / ACFE programs - Maintain class lists and enrolment processes compliant to ACFE standards
  • Centre programs - consultation with the preparation of the term course programs, brochure and individual courses
  • Volunteering and Community Development programs - Develop and implement an inclusive Volunteer program across DCLC
  • Documentation & Compliance - Maintain quality service delivery that optimises stakeholder satisfaction and which is compliant with standards and guidelines for funding organisations
  • Continuous Improvement - Participate in continuous review and development of all programs
  • Business Development - Promote and network with relevant stakeholders to bring ACFE enrolments and Community memberships into the Dandenong Community and Learning Centre
  • Management - Line management of all direct reports, supervision, performance appraisals and approval of leave, HR management and support

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience across the Key Areas of Responsibility as described above
  • Preferably some experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • A working knowledge of the education sector and working in the community services sector
  • Experience in the Adult Education setting

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Victorian Driver’s License.
  • A satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to the commencement of employment.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Full time hours per week: 38 hours, Monday - Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm each day.
