Curijo is seeking a full-time, experienced, passionate and motivated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Senior Consultant and Consultant to join our fast-paced, supportive and dynamic project delivery team. We are looking for candidates, who are Canberra or Sydney preferred and are self-motivated, grounded and highly organised professional bringing strong cultural knowledge, excellent communication skills, extensive project management experience and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes for communities.

The role will include working across, research and evaluation, consultation, community engagement, facilitation, training delivery, learning and development, and child and family services.

About the Role

The successful candidates will play a key role in leading and/or manage and deliver high-quality, culturally responsive consultancy projects and services across a variety of sectors. Working closely with the project delivery team, they will lead and/or contribute to the planning and execution of client engagements, drive outcomes, and uphold Curijo’s commitment to cultural safety and excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Curijo’s purpose, values, and company cultural.
• Delivering culturally responsive, high-quality projects within agreed timeframes.
• Provide comprehensive project management oversight to ensure effective coordination, reporting and successful delivery of outcomes.
• Supporting the identification, mitigation and reporting of project-related risks.
• Contributing to the project team efforts through strength-based practice.
• Building and maintaining professional networks and partnerships.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in consulting, community engagement, research and evaluation and facilitation (particularly working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities).
• Strong project management skills.
• High-level report writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with other team members.
• Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a genuine fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to cultural safety, inclusion, and ethical and professional conduct.
• Be able to travel to deliver face-to-face project requirements.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Desirable:

• Experience in the child and family sector.
• Experience contributing to proposals, tenders or grant applications.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior consultants.
• Adaptability and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to share knowledge and support team development.

Compliance Requirements

• Current state applicable Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Card (or willingness to obtain one).
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
