The Social Worker - Alukura Maternity Services (SWAMS) is responsible for the delivery of high quality, efficient, culturally appropriate and trauma informed social and welfare services that support women accessing maternity care through the Alukura Midwifery Group Practice (AMGP) and Alukura multidisciplinary teams.
Through utilisation of Social Worker methodologies, the SWAMS will undertake client screening and assessments, case management, collaborative care planning, advocacy, supportive counselling and groupwork, and facilitate client access to community services such as Centrelink and other services that will help to build self-efficacy.
