The Role:

The purpose of this position is to provide early intervention assistance to parents with young children. ParentsNext Facilitators will help parents to identify their education and employment goals and refer them to local activities and service providers who will help them achieve these goals. The current role available will work across numerous locations to assist the sites with performance.

Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following experience and abilities:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the community services sector, preferably within parenting services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (negotiation, engagement) and demonstrated written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with parents from diverse backgrounds and develop practical strategies to overcome complex barriers
• Previous experience in parenting advocacy, counselling and case management
• Knowledge of current support agencies/programs for parents in the North and South Metropolitan corridor
• Cert III in Community Services as a minimum
• Current Working with Children Check/or willing to apply
• Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
• Current driver's licence
