About the role

The position of Manager - Quality and Continuous Improvement is a highly responsible, professional position that is accountable for developing, implementing, and facilitating best practice systems and processes for quality and safety across all cohealth services. This includes providing management, support, guidance and expertise to Quality Business partners working within individual programs and ensuring systems and processes are aligned with cohealths quality goal of Best Care, Every Person, Every Time.

The role requires well-developed organisation and communication skills, including being able to set and work to deadlines, make decisions based on analytical and innovative thinking, demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, and be detail-oriented. You will be provided with the opportunity to work autonomously whilst managing a small team.

Whilst reporting to the Director of Excellence and Safety, the Manager- Quality and Continuous Improvement will work in a collaborative and consultative manner with the Network Directors and Cluster Leads within the services network.

Our ideal candidate

  • A qualification in a clinical or health-related discipline.
  • 3-5 years experience in a senior role within a health organisation
  • Experience in leading a quality program within a health setting, including accreditation
  • Experience in the management and application of clinical governance principles
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Experience in leading successful change initiatives at an organisational level.
  • Experienced in the use of continuous quality improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with experience in coordinating small teams or committees;
  • Ability to work autonomously as part of a small, dynamic team;
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
