As the peak body for the community legal sector in WA, Community Legal WA is charged with building capacity and expertise, and promoting effectiveness and efficiency, across our 26 member centres. Through law reform campaigns, advocacy, projects, operational support and community and legal professional education, our staff contribute to a variety of human rights and social justice projects.
The National Accreditation Scheme (NAS) is a sector-led initiative designed to recognise, encourage and actively support good practice in the delivery of community legal centres and the operations of community organisations, utilising a streamlined and web-based accreditation and certification process for CLCs. The Capacity Building Coordinator is a senior leadership position in the community legal centres sector and works with the sector to lead and coordinate all aspects of the National Accreditation Scheme in Western Australia.
This position will implement, monitor and evaluate the Scheme, with the goal of supporting CLCs to meet standards and improved organisational development.
With excellent communication skills, you will have a strong focus on building relationships and working closely with member CLCs and community service organisations.
This position is based in our Perth office and will require regular travel to the multiple locations of the member centres across Western Australia, as well as some interstate travel.
Benefits include flexible hours and generous salary packaging. This part-time position is 0.6 FTE.
Salary: SACS Award level 8.1
