St Vincent’s Curran Foundation partners with donors, clinicians and hospital leaders to support excellence in patient care, research, innovation and compassionate healthcare across St Vincent’s Health Australia in NSW.

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Philanthropy Manager in the role of Bequest Acquisition Manager to join our Bequests and Planned Giving team. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the future of compassionate healthcare by helping grow and strengthen the Foundation’s bequest program across St Vincent’s hospitals and facilities in New South Wales.

Working closely with the Director of Bequests and Planned Giving, you will develop and implement acquisition and cultivation strategies that inspire supporters to leave a lasting legacy through a gift in their Will.

About the role

As Bequest Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in growing the Foundation’s bequest pipeline and supporting long-term fundraising outcomes. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing bequest acquisition and cultivation programs;
  • Identifying, engaging, qualifying and converting bequest prospects into confirmed bequest donors;
  • Building meaningful relationships with donors, prospects and internal stakeholders;
  • Working with donor data to identify key segments and engagement opportunities;
  • Supporting bequest communications, campaigns and collateral;
  • Delivering presentations, campus tours and stewardship activities;
  • Managing donor relationships through best-practice stewardship and moves management;
  • Reporting on acquisition activity, prospect engagement and conversion success.

About you

You will bring:

  • A demonstrated understanding of the fundraising and philanthropy sector, with experience in bequest fundraising, prospecting, moves management, donor development, acquisition and stewardship;
  • Prior experience developing prospecting and acquisition programs, with the ability to conduct program evaluation and work towards KPIs;
  • An exceptional track record in fundraising and executing fundraising programs and events that deliver real value for an organisation;
  • Strong relationship, networking and communication skills developed through working with a broad range of donors and stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement acquisition programs using various marketing channels to drive engagement and promote the program.
