About the team/About the role:
This position sits within the People & Culture Division (P&C) of Cancer Council and is part of the volunteer experience team.
The Project Coordinator role will lead the development and implementation of key team and organisational projects that will support and have a positive impact on the volunteer experience. The role will also be involved in engaging with volunteer managers and volunteers to support engagement and the strategic enabler of Inspire and Empower our People.
Please note this is a Full-Time, 12-month contract role.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Scope, develop and implement projects that have a positive impact on the volunteer experience, including implementation of the Volunteer Plan and recognition celebrations such as National Volunteer Week.
- Work closely with the People Lead, Volunteers to support key core organisational projects, such as the biannual volunteer engagement survey and organisational action planning.
- Engage and consult with relevant stakeholders to ensure project outcomes and implementation plans align with the experience of our workforce.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, including project plans, timelines, research, communication plans, tracking and reports, as needed.
- Deliver presentations and training to support volunteer manager and volunteer development in line with the Volunteer Plan and engagement actions, and to support project development and/or implementation.
- When required, assist and support the Volunteer Team, including the People Experience Coordinator and People Lead, Volunteers, with other duties required to meet the needs of the organisation, such as engaging and training our Volunteer Managers Network.
About you:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating workforce projects, from planning, development and implementation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience preparing documentation and communications, as well as presenting to an audience.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders to support the achievement of objectives.
- Ability to work equally effectively in team environments as well as on tasks which require high levels of initiative, autonomy and independent action.
- Adaptability in response to changing priorities and project needs
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications, such as project management, business, human resources, or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience.
- Interest or experience supporting the workforce experience, of either employees or volunteers.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and project management tools.
