Mito Foundation is Australia's peak body supporting people affected by mitochondrial disease (mito)—a devastating genetic condition that can cause organ failure, disability and premature death.
With no cure currently available, the Foundation is committed to accelerating research, improving diagnosis and treatment, advocating for better care, and supporting families navigating life with mito.
We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Development to lead the next phase of fundraising growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the executive leadership team, you'll lead fundraising across individual giving, philanthropy, bequests, corporate partnerships, and trusts and foundations.
You will shape the organisation's fundraising strategy, strengthen existing income streams, build new partnerships and improve donor development that will expand Mito Foundation's impact nationally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior fundraising leader who enjoys both strategic leadership and is comfortable with some hands-on delivery.
You're an experienced fundraising leader who combines commercial thinking with genuine purpose.
You'll likely bring:
Experience within health, medical research, disability or rare disease organisations will be highly regarded, but candidates from other purpose-driven sectors with transferable fundraising experience are encouraged to apply.
