Casey North Community Information and Support Service (CNCISS) is a respected community organisation supporting people experiencing vulnerability across Casey, Cardinia, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. We provide accessible, client‑centred programs that help individuals and households navigate systems, access services and improve their wellbeing. We are seeking an experienced Executive Officer to lead our organisation with integrity, strategic focus and a deep commitment to social justice.
What you’ll do
- Provide high‑level operational, governance and strategic leadership
- Drive organisational development, business planning and service innovation
- Ensure programs are well‑resourced, accessible and responsive to community need
- Lead staff and support a positive, collaborative organisational culture
- Oversee recruitment, induction, performance and workforce planning
- Manage financial stewardship, budgeting, reporting, audits and compliance
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities across government and philanthropy
- Strengthen relationships with funders, partners, government and community stakeholders
- Provide timely, accurate advice and reporting to the Board
- Represent CNCISS in key forums and elevate emerging community issues
What you bring
- Tertiary qualification in social work, community development or related field
- Extensive senior leadership experience (5+ years) in community or human services
- Proven organisational leadership, strategic management and team development capability
- Deep understanding of disadvantage, vulnerability and systemic barriers
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing organisational budgets
- Demonstrated success in program planning, design and evaluation
- Ability to motivate and support staff, fostering a positive, high‑performing culture
- High‑level organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
