Since our establishment in 1936, Cancer Council Victoria has developed an international reputation for our innovative work in cancer research, prevention and support. As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, we play a leading role in reducing the impact of all cancers on all people.
The WA Quitline, which includes a dedicated Aboriginal Quitline, is managed by Quit, the Cancer Council’s nationally recognised peak group dedicated to supporting people who smoke or vape to quit.
The Quitline telehealth clinical service provides access to free and confidential telephone counselling plus information and advice through telephone and messaging services.
Although you’ll be working from home, ongoing support and engagement is provided in real time through a peer support network, and through frequent clinical supervision.
We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Quitline Counsellor who wants to use their counselling skills and experience to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to stop smoking and vaping. This position will be based in WA and will work from home using a sophisticated telehealth platform.

Salary: $76,411 to $86,271.51 base salary per annum (pro rata for part-time), commensurate with experience, plus 12% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading plus applicable penalty rates for work undertaken on a Saturday
