Cancer Council Australia is the nation’s leading non-government cancer control organisation, focused on reducing the impact of cancer through research, prevention, and support. We work alongside the community, health professionals, and government to provide trusted information and services to those affected by cancer. With a mission to save lives and create a cancer-free future, Cancer Council offers a purpose-driven workplace where everyone can make a meaningful difference to help improve outcomes for people affected by cancer.
The Cancer Navigation Service is a key component of the Australian Government’s Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP). This national initiative is enhancing and expanding Cancer Council’s existing information and support services to provide more timely, equitable, and culturally safe access to information, navigation, and support for anyone impacted by cancer. The project aims to integrate, strengthen, and digitalise navigation pathways, offering new ways for people to connect with support that best meets their needs now and into the future.
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digital Producer with strong CMS experience to support the delivery of an exciting new cancer website for people affected by cancer and healthcare professionals. Sitting within the Website Stream, you’ll be responsible for migrating and producing content within Optimizely CMS in line with ambitious release sprints. You’ll ensure content is accurate, well-structured and ready for release, working closely with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to incorporate feedback and maintain Cancer Council’s standards for evidence-based cancer information.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance user experience, addressing content gaps, and supporting quality assurance and testing. The Digital Producer will uphold best practice in UX, accessibility, performance and SEO, helping ensure the site provides the best possible experience for people navigating cancer care in Australia.
You’re a motivated, proactive and solutions focused digital producer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high quality work with exceptional attention to detail. You’re confident working independently and collaboratively, and you’re comfortable balancing competing priorities while delivering to tight timeframes in an evolving digital transformation program.
You bring strong experience working with CMS platforms (ideally Optimizely or similar), and you understand what good looks like when it comes to accessible, user-friendly digital publishing. You have a solid foundation in web production skills including basic HTML/CSS, image editing, testing across devices and an understanding of accessibility standards and you’re committed to ensuring content remains accurate, consistent and easy to navigate for diverse audiences.
We embrace diversity, celebrate differences and inspire each person to be their authentic self at work. We welcome and actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with a disability, the LGBTQI+ community, mature age workers, as well as parents and carers returning to the workforce.
