Are you an experienced OSHC or Early Childhood leader who understands that quality and compliance go hand in hand with strong people leadership?
We are partnering with Harbord OOSH to find an experienced Practice Lead to join the leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of the service.
Based on site at Harbord Public School in Freshwater, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting educators, developing team capability, strengthening compliance practices, and leading from the front.
Working closely with the Centre Director, Assistant Managers, Room Leaders and Educators, you'll help drive a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement while ensuring the service continues to meet its regulatory obligations and deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families.
This is a true leadership role that balances quality, compliance and operational support.
While ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations and National Quality Standard remains a core responsibility, success in this position will come from your ability to mentor and develop educators, build strong relationships and maintain a visible presence within the service.
This is not a desk-bound compliance role. You'll spend time supporting educators on the floor, particularly during busy operational periods, while also contributing to planning, governance and continuous improvement activities.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to act as a Nominated Supervisor and Person in Day-to-Day Charge (PIDDC).
You are an experienced OSHC or Early Childhood leader who understands that compliance is non-negotiable, but that successful leadership comes from bringing people along on the journey.
The team believe in being transparent about where they are on their journey.
Like many services across the sector, Harbord OOSH has experienced significant change over recent years. Following several leadership transitions and a strong focus on improving compliance and operational practices, the service is now in a much stronger position with committed leadership, engaged staff and a clear vision for the future.
This role offers the opportunity to join a team that has worked hard to create positive change and is focused on continuing to strengthen quality outcomes, workforce capability and community confidence.
