Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation passionately committed to ending homelessness. From providing high quality housing to an innovative range of support, education and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk of, or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research and innovation to drive widespread change.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Coordinator to join the dedicated team at our Launch Housing Women's Only Crisis Accommodation site at East St Kilda.

The East St Kilda residential facility includes 15 single client rooms. The service only employs and accommodates those who identify as female. The services include temporary accommodation (for up to 8 weeks with the possibility of extension), case management, transitional support and other services to get women and those who identify themselves as female over 18 years old age, experiencing homelessness and/or at risk of homelessness, housed.

The Coordinator at East St Kilda oversees the activities of the after-hours workers at East St Kilda and support site operations. The incumbent is responsible for providing effective leadership to their team to ensure that services provided to clients are delivered in an effective, consistent and professional manner with the needs and dignity of service users a priority.

The role has two different shifts, week 1: 8-4pm and week 2: 11-7pm.

About You

We are looking for a leader with experience in Crisis Accommodation setting who can hit the ground running, managing staff, program and services with genuine leadership ability. You will have a passion for working with people experiencing homelessness and determination to deliver innovative and effective services of the highest possible standard for our clients.

We are looking for someone with great leadership skills, passion for women's rights and enjoy working in a women's only environment. Our ideal candidate will have a good level of experience leading teams who support complex clients and strong operational skills to support the day to day running of the Crisis Accommodation alongside the Case Management Team Leader and Site Manager. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience leading a team and supporting the operations of a crisis site.
