We're seeking an experienced Lecturer in Community Services to join our Higher Education team. In this role, you will deliver engaging, student-centred teaching to a diverse cohort of domestic and international students, helping them succeed in their studies and prepare for meaningful careers in the community services sector. What you'll do:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging and innovative teaching across Community Services subjects including Mental Health, Counselling, Management and Leadership
  • Develop and adapt course materials, assessments and learning resources to suit diverse learning styles
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Identify and support students at risk, including referral to academic or wellbeing services
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of course materials and teaching practices
  • Ensure compliance with academic, regulatory and organisational requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student experience

About You:

Qualifications

  • A minimum AQF Level 9 qualification in Community Services or a related discipline (e.g. Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Social Sciences, Youth Work)

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated teaching experience in the Australian Higher Education sector
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience developing learning materials and assessment tools
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, high-quality course content
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and compliance requirements in higher education
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience in student management systems

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, including an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives
