People and Culture Business Partner

Beyond Blue
  • Part Time (0.8 FTE)
  • Melbourne, CBD

For more than 20 years, Beyond Blue has been a trusted source of mental health support, information and hope for people right across Australia.

We’re one of the country’s most well‑known and visited mental health organisations – a responsibility we never take for granted. It drives us to listen deeply, respond with empathy, and keep the needs and experiences of people at the centre of everything we do.

With exciting times ahead, we’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to help shape the environment that underpins Beyond Blue’s employee experience and culture!

In this role, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders to anticipate workforce needs, uplift capability, and foster a safe, inclusive and high‑performing culture where people feel supported to do their best work.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on turning insight into meaningful action, can simplify complexity, and brings a grounded, human‑centred approach to every interaction.

You’ll work across the full breadth of the people and culture spectrum — organisational development, capability uplift, workforce planning, ER/IR, DEI and change leadership — all with a clear focus on helping leaders build connected, confident and purpose‑aligned teams.

We’re seeking someone who is professional, collaborative and composed — someone who brings genuine positivity to their partnerships. You communicate with clarity, build trust with ease, and offer a thoughtful, strategic presence in every interaction.

Above all, you care deeply about wellbeing, psychological safety and creating the conditions for people to thrive.

You’ll bring:

  • 10–15+ years’ broad HR experience across ER/IR, L&D, DEI, remuneration and strategic partnering.
  • Confidence navigating complex ER/IR matters with fairness, professionalism and sound judgement.
  • Strong internal consulting capability and the ability to influence senior leaders with impact.
  • High EQ and exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proven coaching capability and experience uplifting leader confidence and performance.
  • Strength in ambiguity - calm, pragmatic and insight‑driven in decision‑making.
  • Experience shaping and embedding people strategies that build culture, capability and psychological safety.
  • Solid understanding of psychosocial safety and exposure to awards such as Health, Clerks and Arts.
  • Analytical capability - comfortable using people data to diagnose issues and design practical solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR/Business/Org Psych or similar; post‑grad or coaching change credentials a bonus.

A position description is attached.

If the above sounds like you… We’d love to hear from you!
