Berry Street Yooralla’s Family Violence Program provides specialist, integrated support to victim survivors of family violence and their children across Victoria. We support cisgender heterosexual women and their children, as well as LGBTIQA+ individuals and families, acknowledging the diverse identities, contexts and experiences of the people we serve.
Across all service areas, we promote safety, empowerment, agency and self-determination, tailoring responses to each person’s unique circumstances, identity and lived experience. We recognise the profound and distinct impacts of family violence on children and young people and embed child centred and trauma informed practice across all aspects of service delivery.
Our Family Violence Program is seeking an experienced Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, Community Partnerships to join our Community Partnerships team in the Northern Metro service area.
This unique role combines direct client support with partnership and capacity-building work across the community sector. You will provide specialist family violence responses to victim survivors and their children while supporting non-specialist services through secondary consultations, advice and training.
Working within a collaborative and highly regarded Community Partnerships Team, you will strengthen integrated responses to family violence, enhance service capability, and help victim survivors access the support they need to achieve greater safety, wellbeing and independence.
You’re a passionate experienced practitioner with a strong understanding of the integrated family violence service system. You bring a values-led approach and thrive in a collaborative team, using clear and effective communication to support quality outcomes.
