Berry Street's Northern Specialist Family Violence Service provides a Specialist Family Violence team within The Orange Door (Hume Moreland Region) as an initiative resulting from Recommendations 37 and 38 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

We have several opportunities for Senior Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioners either in a permanent or fixed term, full time or part time (minimum 4 days per week) capacity. This role will be based at either the Orange Door in Broadmeadows or any access point developed in the network within the Hume Moreland LGA.
The Senior Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioner plays a critical role in family violence risk assessment, safety planning and engagement of victim survivors and their children into any supports they need. The referrals are a combination of police referred, victim survivors calling our service directly, or referrals from other services. The service can be provided by contacting victim survivors by phone, face to face at the Hub, or conducting outreach appointments.
This Senior role provides clinical supervision to Specialist Family Violence Hub Practitioners and works within a matrix management model.
You will hold a tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor level) in Social Work, or a qualification in a related discipline along with experience in the field. You will have experience in working with victim survivors and their children from diverse backgrounds who have experienced family violence and the ability and experience to undertake comprehensive risk assessments (TRAM or CRAF).
