For over 40 years, Redkite has had a single purpose: to be a lifeline for families facing the trauma and burden of childhood cancer. We provide essential emotional, financial and practical support and care when families need it most.
When you work at Redkite, you join a skilled, compassionate and committed team determined to ensure every family, no matter where they live, can access vital psychosocial support throughout their cancer journey.
The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping how Redkite shows up in the world.
Reporting to the General Manager, Marketing and Communications, this role leads corporate communications, thought leadership and major reports, while managing the PR function for select organisational campaigns.
You will work closely with the CEO, Board, Executive team and senior stakeholders to deliver high quality communications that strengthen Redkite’s reputation, increase brand awareness and position the organisation as a trusted national leader in childhood cancer support.
You will also lead a small specialist team across social and content, ensuring an integrated and strategic approach to PR, content and storytelling.
You are a confident and thoughtful communications professional with strong writing skills and sound judgement.
You are comfortable working with senior leaders, advising on messaging and helping translate complex issues into clear, compelling communication. You enjoy balancing strategy with hands on delivery and know how to spot a good story and bring it to life.
You are collaborative, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. You bring empathy to your work and understand the responsibility that comes with communicating in a sensitive and purpose led organisation.
